✔️ Drug Interactions

Probenecid increases the serum concentration of Cefuroxime by 50%.

Antacids or acid-reducing drugs may reduce Cefuroxime bioavailability and delay absorption.

Generally well tolerated. Occasionally:

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain

Rare: rash, pruritus, urticaria, renal dysfunction, or anaphylaxis

Long-term use may cause overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms.

Safe to use during later stages of pregnancy for urinary and respiratory infections.
